Preschool/Early Elementary Gymnastics Coaches
Part-Time | Oakland, CA | Weekday Afternoons & Saturdays Morning/Afternoons
Do you absolutely love working with young children?
Do you believe movement, confidence, and joy can change a child's life? Park Gymnastics is looking for exceptional people to join our coaching team. We're not simply hiring gymnastics instructors—we're building a team of coaches who inspire confidence, celebrate growth, and help children discover what they're capable of. Whether you're a preschool teacher, elementary educator, nanny, gymnastics coach, dance instructor, or someone with a passion for child development, we'd love to meet you. If you care deeply about children, enjoy being active, and are excited to learn, we can teach you the gymnastics if that is the part that is missing.
Why Park Gymnastics?
Park Gymnastics is a locally owned gymnastics studio serving Oakland families through high-quality preschool and recreational gymnastics. Our mission is simple:
Create a place where children feel safe, supported, challenged, and excited to come back every week.
Our coaches don't just teach gymnastics.
We teach courage.
We teach resilience.
We teach belonging.
We teach children how to believe in themselves.
We intentionally keep our classes small, structured, positive, and developmentally appropriate so every child has the opportunity to succeed.
If you're looking for a workplace where your work truly matters—and where you'll be supported as you grow—we'd love to welcome you to our team!
The Position
You'll coach a variety of preschool and early elementary gymnastics classes, including:
• Caregiver & Me (Parent/Child)
• Preschool (3–4 years)
• Transitional Kindergarten
• Kindergarten
The ideal candidate enjoys working with multiple age groups and can confidently build relationships with children, parents, and fellow coaches.
No two days are exactly the same, and that's exactly how we like it.
Who Thrives Here
You might be a great fit if you are:
A preschool or TK teacher
An elementary school teacher
A nanny with strong classroom management skills
A gymnastics coach
A dance, PE, or movement instructor
A college student or graduate studying Early Childhood Education, Physical Education, Child Development, Recreation, Kinesiology, or a related field
A parent returning to the workforce looking for meaningful part-time work
Previous gymnastics coaching experience is helpful—but not required. We hire for character first. We can teach coaching.
